On The Matter Of Flowers, a collective choreographic work created by Ismaël Mouaraki, Andrea Peña, Christophe Garcia, and Dominique Porte, is in the running for the Prix RIDEAU Tournée, one of the awards from the most important event in the French-speaking world for creation and touring of performing arts in America! This award honors an artistic company, group, artist or artist's representative for their successful efforts in promoting and educating audiences during the course of a tour.  

A Unique Tour

On The Matter Of Flowers was created at the heart of the pandemic. Thanks to its unique format, it was one of the rare shows in the 2020-2021 to tour in Quebec, due to the sanitary crisis. The four choreographers each composed an intimate chapter with Daphnée Laurendeau and Danny Morissette, a duo of virtuoso dancers: a couple on stage and in life. Without distancing on stage, the show moved the audiences, who found the poetry of the bodies touching, at a time when human contact was reduced to a minimum.

A total of 22 cities (and more coming soon!) hosted the show, thanks to a touring strategy adapted to the context, allowing the programmers to cancel with no penalty if the circumstances required it.
